Black Friday
So I'm finally sitting here relaxing, thinking, and half watching a movie. I didn't do much shopping this black Friday since I've been shopping coupon deals through out the year I am pretty much done Christmas shopping. I did however still need to get a CD which was on sale at Family Christian Bookstore today for less than $8, the new Toby Mac. I had to get it for my nephew for Christmas. And I had to go to Younkers to use my $10 off coupon. Why do they make it so hard to find something!?
Anyway, I'm sitting here thinking about all the food, mostly desserts, I ate yesterday and today. I have been really wanting to try those Miracle Body jeans that Oprah featured. I even have entered a few giveaways I found on some blogs. Thank god for great bloggers! But anyway, as I was thinking about why I want to try these jeans. I'm thinking, really how good are these jeans anyway? Are they going to suck my hips and thighs in also? Probably not. I really just need to get into the habit of exercising and eating right.
So this is just what I'm thinking about after a few days of pigging out and feeling, UGH. Gotta love the holidays. (:

Voices of the 'true woman' movement
So this is one of the freebies I recieved. A book called 'voices of the true woman movement by Nancy Leigh DeMoss. The guidelines for this freebie is to blog about the book. In this blog I just highlighted my favorite parts on this chapter. So here we go...
Chapter 1 The ultimate meaning of true womanhood
This chapter starts with stories of strong women. Stories of women that do not fall down under pressure. Wimpy theology simply doesnt give a woman a God that is big enough, strong enough, wise enough, and good enough to handle the realities of life in a way that magnifies the infinite worth of Jesus Christ. Wimpy theology is plagued by woman-centeredness and man centeredness.
God's ultimate purpose for the universe and for all of history and for your life is to display the glory of Christ in its highest expression, namely, in His dying to make a rebellious people His everlasting and supremely happy bride.
Womanhood and manhood-famininity and masculinity-belong at the center of God's ulitmate purpose. They werent an afterthought or a peripheral thought in God's plan. They were designed so they would serve to display the glory of His Son dying to have His happy, admiring bride. From the beginning, manhood and womanhood were designed to display the glory of Christ in His relationship to the church, His bride.
The point here is that marriage is meant to display the covenant-keeping love between Christ and His church.
*Headship is the divine calling of a husband to take primary responsibility for Christ-like, servant leadership, protection, and provision in the home.
*Submission is the divine calling of a wife to honor and affirm her husband's leadership and help carry it through according to her gifts.
Married woman should embrace the truth that your womanhood, true womanhood, is uniquely and indispensably created by God to display the glory of His Son in the way you relate to your husband, you will have a calling of infinite significance.
God has created man as male and female because there are aspects of Christ's glory which would not be known if they were not reflected in the complementary differences of manhood and womanhood.

Aweful Hyvee experience
So I'm just sitting here thinking about the new Hyvee ad coming out, I was thinking it was Wednesday. I figured Id post my last awful Hyvee experience.
So In the exclusive online Hyvee ad they had a few extra coupons. The deal was $3.59 for Glad trash bags. They also had a coupon if you buy 2 participating items you get 1 Clorox wipes for free. The participating items were Glad trash bags and Clorox cleaning supplies. So I also had a coupon for free Glad product when you buy Charcoal, up to $3 off. I sent my husband with all coupons in hand and told him what to buy. He came back frustrated. Hyvee gave him a hard time about their online coupons! They weren't going to let him use them. How crazy is that? They also wouldn't let him use the charcoal coupon and I had just used one there a few weeks prior.
I probably will never get my husband to go use coupons again now! You win some you lose some.

Just trying it out
So we started the facebook page Qc coupon deals and we love all the bloggers out there. We havent started a Blog of our own because we figure theres way toooo many out there, no one will be interested in ours. Lets see if we can get any followers?
